Millions of Americans suffer from chronic pain. In recent years, doctors have increasingly prescribed opiates, such as Vicodin and Oxycontin, to help patients relieve their pain. But for many, these medications bring unpleasant side effects. That's leaving some patients to seek alternatives, like Reba Schneider, who found relief from her disabling pain from fibromyalgia in acupuncture.
